A blog about Self-knowledge/ AtmaBodha nondualism/ AdvaitA
Thought for this Divine Friday , April 18, 2008nAsti vidyA samam chakshu nAsti satya samam tapaHa nAsti raga samam duKham nAsti tyAga samam suKham There is no greater 'vision' thanthe 'vision' of knowledge - i.e. Byknowledege ('vidya') one can see what cannot be seen by anaked eye. Knowledge gives the vision to see beyond some obvious things. There is no 'Tapaha' (Hard work) such as Truth - i.e. One has to dolot's of hard work to be on the side of Truth. There is no sorrow such as the desire - i.e. Desires of a person brings much sorrow to himbecause desires always keep you entangled in the web of'maya.' There is no happiness such as sacrifice -i.e. 'TyAga' (Sacrifice) brings more happiness to theperson. In ramayana, you see how lakshmana sacificed the comfort and luxury of palace life to spend all his time at the lotus feet of lord Rama.Enjoy your Friday !
